Our Wedding

We&nbsp;as&nbsp;human&nbsp;beings&nbsp;long&nbsp;for&nbsp;companionship.&nbsp;It's&nbsp;just&nbsp;built&nbsp;into&nbsp;our&nbsp;hardwiring&nbsp;to&nbsp;attain&nbsp;true&nbsp;happiness.&nbsp;However,&nbsp;one&nbsp;of&nbsp;our&nbsp;superpowers&nbsp;is&nbsp;to&nbsp;be&nbsp;able&nbsp;to&nbsp;create&nbsp;a&nbsp;support&nbsp;system&nbsp;within&nbsp;ourselves&nbsp;to&nbsp;substitute&nbsp;the&nbsp;happiness&nbsp;we&nbsp;truly&nbsp;deserve&nbsp;with&nbsp;our&nbsp;own&nbsp;independence.&nbsp;Before&nbsp;they&nbsp;met,&nbsp;Joe&nbsp;and&nbsp;Lisa&nbsp;were&nbsp;doing&nbsp;just&nbsp;that.&nbsp;Supporting&nbsp;themselves&nbsp;in&nbsp;their&nbsp;independence.&nbsp;Each&nbsp;person&nbsp;content&nbsp;in&nbsp;their&nbsp;lives,&nbsp;not&nbsp;knowing&nbsp;the&nbsp;wealth&nbsp;of&nbsp;love&nbsp;and&nbsp;happiness&nbsp;they&nbsp;were&nbsp;soon&nbsp;to&nbsp;unlock. On&nbsp;the&nbsp;encouragement&nbsp;of&nbsp;good&nbsp;friends&nbsp;Claire&nbsp;and&nbsp;Jon,&nbsp;Lisa&nbsp;decided&nbsp;to&nbsp;go&nbsp;check&nbsp;out&nbsp;a&nbsp;band&nbsp;with&nbsp;some&nbsp;of&nbsp;her&nbsp;other&nbsp;friends.&nbsp;Joe&nbsp;and&nbsp;his&nbsp;friend&nbsp;Sarah&nbsp;were&nbsp;hanging&nbsp;out&nbsp;at&nbsp;the&nbsp;same&nbsp;club&nbsp;just&nbsp;for&nbsp;fun.&nbsp;If&nbsp;it&nbsp;wasn’t&nbsp;for&nbsp;Claire’s&nbsp;encouragement&nbsp;and&nbsp;Sarah's&nbsp;dare&nbsp;for&nbsp;Joe&nbsp;to&nbsp;“talk&nbsp;to&nbsp;those&nbsp;goth&nbsp;girls,”&nbsp;Lisa&nbsp;and&nbsp;Joe's&nbsp;paths&nbsp;may&nbsp;never&nbsp;have&nbsp;crossed.&nbsp;But&nbsp;as&nbsp;soon&nbsp;as&nbsp;Joe&nbsp;approached&nbsp;Lisa&nbsp;with&nbsp;a&nbsp;simple&nbsp;compliment&nbsp;on&nbsp;her&nbsp;crescent&nbsp;moon&nbsp;earrings,&nbsp;and&nbsp;easygoing&nbsp;talk&nbsp;about&nbsp;the&nbsp;bands&nbsp;that&nbsp;were&nbsp;playing,&nbsp;their&nbsp;undeniable&nbsp;attraction&nbsp;towards&nbsp;each&nbsp;other&nbsp;manifested.&nbsp;What&nbsp;started&nbsp;as&nbsp;a&nbsp;casual&nbsp;dare&nbsp;sparked&nbsp;a&nbsp;path&nbsp;Joe&nbsp;couldn’t&nbsp;get&nbsp;off&nbsp;of&nbsp;even&nbsp;if&nbsp;he&nbsp;tried. Their&nbsp;magnetic&nbsp;personalities&nbsp;blended&nbsp;together&nbsp;seamlessly,&nbsp;and&nbsp;one&nbsp;thing&nbsp;Joe&nbsp;knew&nbsp;from&nbsp;that&nbsp;moment&nbsp;was&nbsp;he&nbsp;needed&nbsp;to&nbsp;see&nbsp;her&nbsp;more.&nbsp;Lisa,&nbsp;enjoying&nbsp;Joe’s&nbsp;company,&nbsp;welcomed&nbsp;his&nbsp;invitation&nbsp;to&nbsp;see&nbsp;her&nbsp;again,&nbsp;not&nbsp;realizing&nbsp;that&nbsp;she&nbsp;was&nbsp;also&nbsp;captivated&nbsp;by&nbsp;this&nbsp;connection.&nbsp;Their&nbsp;fondness&nbsp;for&nbsp;each&nbsp;other&nbsp;grew&nbsp;from&nbsp;then&nbsp;on,&nbsp;with&nbsp;nothing&nbsp;getting&nbsp;in&nbsp;the&nbsp;way&nbsp;of&nbsp;their&nbsp;passion&nbsp;to&nbsp;be&nbsp;together. Starting&nbsp;from&nbsp;casual&nbsp;conversation,&nbsp;to&nbsp;going&nbsp;out&nbsp;on&nbsp;dates,&nbsp;and&nbsp;then&nbsp;becoming&nbsp;inseparable,&nbsp;the&nbsp;love&nbsp;that&nbsp;Joe&nbsp;and&nbsp;Lisa&nbsp;share&nbsp;has&nbsp;never&nbsp;stopped&nbsp;growing. Valentine’s&nbsp;Day&nbsp;became&nbsp;a&nbsp;pivotal&nbsp;moment&nbsp;in&nbsp;their&nbsp;relationship,&nbsp;starting&nbsp;with&nbsp;Lisa’s&nbsp;mother’s&nbsp;birthday,&nbsp;and&nbsp;her&nbsp;parent's&nbsp;engagement&nbsp;anniversary.&nbsp;That&nbsp;timeframe&nbsp;has&nbsp;now&nbsp;evolved&nbsp;to&nbsp;include&nbsp;the&nbsp;day&nbsp;they&nbsp;decided&nbsp;to&nbsp;date&nbsp;exclusively&nbsp;and&nbsp;a&nbsp;year&nbsp;later,&nbsp;their&nbsp;engagement&nbsp;date&nbsp;as&nbsp;well. No&nbsp;longer&nbsp;denying&nbsp;themselves&nbsp;true&nbsp;happiness&nbsp;through&nbsp;their&nbsp;sustained&nbsp;independence,&nbsp;Joe&nbsp;and&nbsp;Lisa&nbsp;are&nbsp;excited&nbsp;to&nbsp;share&nbsp;their&nbsp;public&nbsp;profession&nbsp;of&nbsp;the&nbsp;love&nbsp;and&nbsp;happiness&nbsp;they&nbsp;share&nbsp;with&nbsp;everyone&nbsp;at&nbsp;Nanina’s&nbsp;in&nbsp;the&nbsp;Park&nbsp;on&nbsp;July&nbsp;5th!

Lisa is a hardworking and extremely loyal individual of many developed talents including cooking, gardening, hosting, and being a Boss. She gives every relationship that she has her all, and she can't wait to continue doing the same thru her love for Joe.

Joseph is a musician and a martial artist who prides himself in helping and encouraging others in his life.  His passion for pushing forward is dwarfed only by two things, his love for God and his love for Lisa.

Joseph Whitfield

Laura Vaccarella is Lisa's older sister. From a very young age, Laura wished for a little sister, and her wish was granted when Lisa was born. Lisa was Laura's Maid of Honor as well, so this occasion is coming as a full circle moment of sisterhood!

Terron and Joseph have been friends since 2004. They first met when they both worked at a music school together and have been incredible friends ever since. Terron has been there for Joseph in all moments of his life, and whenever they get together, fun and brotherly love with all involved is inevitable.

George is Joseph's older brother.  He is one of the pivotal men in the Whitfield family and George and Joe frequently talk and share inspiration, spiritual guidance, and encouragement with each other.

George Jr. is Joseph's nephew. George Jr. is passionate about family togetherness and an incredibly talented individual. He brings the family together in an incredible inclusive way by hosting weekly zoom meetings for everyone in the family. Every conversation with him is an uplifting experience, no matter how simple.

Victoria is Joseph's sister. They share many loving experiences together and have many common interests that they experience together.  Victoria was also at the same place Lisa and Joseph met, just on her own accord!  She is an incredibly positive soul and brings happiness and positivity into all of the spaces she enters.

Allison is one of Lisa's oldest and dearest friends, dating all the way back to early years of high school. They have been friends thru thick and thin ever since. Lisa was also Allison's Maid of Honor, and although she just gave birth to her second child, she's still held strong loyalty to acting as one of Lisa's bridesmaids to celebrate a wonderful future!

Claire is Lisa's nearest and dearest friend coming out of college together at Rutgers University in New Brunswick. They met during Lisa's freshman year in the dorm and have been friends ever since. Following college graduation, Claire has only moved closer and closer to where Lisa and Joe live, making her a growing and essential part of our everyday lives!

Mary is a close friend of Lisa's from her later days in high school, even though they did not go to the same schools. They met thru mutual friends and have been close ever since. They've shared some very memorable experiences together as well as beloved one-on-one meals and chats, and Lisa is delighted to have her as one of her bridal crew!
