We as human beings long for companionship. It's just built into our hardwiring to attain true happiness. However, one of our superpowers is to be able to create a support system within ourselves to substitute the happiness we truly deserve with our own independence. Before they met, Joe and Lisa were doing just that. Supporting themselves in their independence. Each person content in their lives, not knowing the wealth of love and happiness they were soon to unlock.

On the encouragement of good friends Claire and Jon, Lisa decided to go check out a band with some of her other friends. Joe and his friend Sarah were hanging out at the same club just for fun. If it wasn’t for Claire’s encouragement and Sarah's dare for Joe to “talk to those goth girls,” Lisa and Joe's paths may never have crossed. But as soon as Joe approached Lisa with a simple compliment on her crescent moon earrings, and easygoing talk about the bands that were playing, their undeniable attraction towards each other manifested. What started as a casual dare sparked a path Joe couldn’t get off of even if he tried.

Their magnetic personalities blended together seamlessly, and one thing Joe knew from that moment was he needed to see her more. Lisa, enjoying Joe’s company, welcomed his invitation to see her again, not realizing that she was also captivated by this connection. Their fondness for each other grew from then on, with nothing getting in the way of their passion to be together.
Starting from casual conversation, to going out on dates, and then becoming inseparable, the love that Joe and Lisa share has never stopped growing.

Valentine’s Day became a pivotal moment in their relationship, starting with Lisa’s mother’s birthday, and her parent's engagement anniversary. That timeframe has now evolved to include the day they decided to date exclusively and a year later, their engagement date as well.

No longer denying themselves true happiness through their sustained independence, Joe and Lisa are excited to share their public profession of the love and happiness they share with everyone at Nanina’s in the Park on July 5th!
